花影直播 shark research featured on 鈥楴BC Boston鈥 ahead of Shark Week

NBC Boston interviewed 花影直播 Marine Science Professor James Sulikowski, Ph.D., about his shark research, which will be featured in an upcoming episode of 鈥淪hark Week鈥 on Discovery.

The story, which also aired on NECN, WCSH and WLBZ, focused on Sulikowski鈥檚 current research tracking porbeagle sharks. He and his students have been outfitting the sharks with satellite tags to track their movements.

"This area, in the Gulf of Maine, appears to be a nursery ground," said Sulikowski. "It鈥檚 a place that they have to grow up, and live. We think this area might be vital to their survival."

鈥淪hark Vortex鈥 airs Monday, July 24 at 8 p.m. on Discovery.
